Viscosupplementation involves injecting a hyaluronic-acid product into a joint. It may be considered for selected people with knee osteoarthritis, but it is not routinely recommended for everyone with osteoarthritis.

This appointment is for a CNESST Medical Evaluation Report, known in French as a rapport d’évaluation médicale, or REM. The report assesses permanent impairment and describes any lasting functional limitations related to a work injury.
