During this appointment
Choose this appointment when you are starting Bina’s medical weight management service and can attend the Brossard clinic. The physician reviews your health history, current medications, previous weight management efforts, symptoms, health priorities and goals. The visit may also identify factors that should be investigated or considered before a care plan is selected.
The findings are used to discuss suitable next steps. Medication may be considered when appropriate, but a prescription is not guaranteed. Laboratory fees, medication costs and separately booked services are not included unless the clinic confirms otherwise.
What can be completed online
Choose this appointment if you live in Québec and want to begin with a video consultation. The physician reviews your medical information, including your health history, medications, previous approaches, current concerns and goals. The virtual format can also be used to discuss the service, determine whether further assessment is needed and plan the next step.
InBody analysis and FreeStyle Libre 3 setup cannot be completed during the video visit. If measurements, device setup or a physical examination are needed, an in-person appointment in Brossard will be arranged or recommended.
The consultation may cover
Choose this appointment when you need a focused medical assessment or review related to prescription weight management treatment. The physician considers your health history, current medications, relevant results, treatment goals and factors that may affect whether a medication option is appropriate. GLP-1 treatment can be discussed, but the visit is not a guaranteed prescription or a guarantee that a particular medication will be suitable or available.
Medication and pharmacy costs are separate. Any sample availability should be confirmed by the clinic.
Follow-up may include
Book a follow-up after your initial assessment or when Dr Kourosh Lalavi has asked to review your progress. The visit focuses on what has changed since the previous consultation, including symptoms, treatment response, side effects, questions, relevant results and any difficulties following the plan. The physician can decide whether the plan should continue, be adjusted or require further assessment.
When clinically appropriate and available, follow-up care may also include GLP-1 medication samples valued at approximately $300 to $400 or more, including Zepbound, Mounjaro, or Wegovy/Ozempic when appropriate. Some follow-ups can be completed by telemedicine across Québec. In-person care may be required for measurements, device support or a physical examination.

When clinically appropriate, the physician-supervised program can include GLP-1 options such as Ozempic/Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound, alongside InBody analysis and metabolic monitoring. Suitability is assessed individually by the physician.
The initial visit includes the medical consultation, an InBody body-composition analysis, FreeStyle Libre 3 set-up and a bloodwork requisition if needed. Follow-ups include reassessment and InBody analysis.
The medical consultation and many follow-ups can be done by video across Québec, but the InBody body-composition analysis and device set-up are done in person in Brossard.
The program is a private service not covered by RAMQ, but the medical and nutrition portions are often partially reimbursable by private insurance. We provide an itemized receipt.
Follow-up consultations are CA$245, and a standalone InBody + InGrip body-composition analysis is CA$25. Exact pricing for each option is listed on the service page.
