Answers to the questions our guests ask most — from booking to your visit, explained with care.
Yes. Kimia can involve parents or caregivers when appropriate so they understand the child's goals and can support communication outside of therapy sessions. The level of involvement depends on the child's needs and the type of session.
Yes. Kimia works with adults experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties related to stroke and other neurological conditions. Care can focus on areas such as speech, language, communication, and swallowing depending on the person's needs.
Yes. Kimia works with children with concerns related to speech, language development, articulation, fluency, social communication, and other communication difficulties. The assessment and therapy plan are adapted to the child's individual needs.
An evaluation is usually the appropriate starting point when the concern has not yet been assessed or when you need a clearer understanding of the difficulty. A therapy session is generally used for ongoing treatment once the needs and therapy goals have been identified. If you are unsure which appointment to choose, contact Bina before booking and the clinic can help you select the appropriate option.
You do not need to know exactly what type of difficulty you are experiencing before booking an assessment. Kimia can evaluate the concern, identify which areas may need attention, and recommend appropriate next steps based on the findings.
Kimia Nemovi is a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ), and she completed her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa.
